Position Overview

The Retail Manager oversees the daily retail and cafeteria operations of Food & Nutrition Services while supporting the General Manager or Director in the overall success of the operation. This role ensures compliance with client guidelines, health department regulations, and company standards while providing excellent customer service. The Retail Manager also trains, motivates, and develops team members to help achieve operational goals and maintain a positive customer experience.

This position is located in Staten Island, New York.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily retail operations and ensure smooth service delivery.
• Support the General Manager or Director with overall operational success.
• Train, motivate, develop, and direct frontline team members.
• Plan and supervise special functions and retail services.
• Maintain cash controls, payroll records, and operational reports.
• Oversee hiring and support team development.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, client guidelines, and health department regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma required, Associate degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail operational management experience required.
• Experience managing daily retail operations required.
• Experience supervising and training employees required.
• Experience handling cash retail operations and maintaining operational reports required.
• Experience supporting customer service standards required.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, or related food-service operations preferred.

Pay Range

USD $31.25 - USD $33.65 /Hr.
