Maintenance Technician - 1st shift

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: San Dimas, CA
Shift: 1st Shift | 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM (Wednesday-Sunday; days off may vary)
Pay Rate: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour (DOE)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment to identify and resolve issues quickly.
Repair and replace machine components to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or potential failures and recommend corrective actions.
Adjust and calibrate machinery to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
Perform general facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and building repairs.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and production line changeovers.
Monitor spare parts inventory and communicate replacement needs to ensure adequate stock.
Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to support operational goals.
Follow all company safety policies, GMP requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and implement effective solutions to restore operations.
Participate in ongoing technical training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or maintenance certifications are a plus.
7-10 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience maintaining production equipment such as automated packaging machinery, conveyors, mixers, ovens, processing equipment, or similar manufacturing systems.
Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
Working knowledge of CMMS software is preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
Willingness to work weekends, overtime, or alternate shifts as needed.
