All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.JOB DESCRIPTION: The role of a bartender is to provide an excellent guest experience, make signature cocktails, and offer recommendations regarding local craft beers and wines offered.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patronsInteract with customers, take orders and servingAssess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendationsMix ingredients to prepare cocktailsPlan and present bar menuCheck customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking ageRestock and replenish bar inventory and suppliesStay guest focused and provide an excellent guest experienceComply with all food and beverage regulationsSuperior knowledge of classic cocktailsExemplify outstanding communication skills, create unique experiences for guestsStrong and efficient work ethic, including, but not limited to keeping a clean and tidy work area, keeping guest areas clean, polishing glassware, plate-ware, silverwareComplete opening/closing duties, including completing prep/checklistAdhere to cash handling policies with the ability to perform credit card charges as well as provide guests with accurate bills, ring all orders accurately and at the time of the saleMust have knowledge of pour-cost control, as well as participate in inventory, and determine adequate par levelsJOB SPECIFICATIONS:Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinksComputer literacyPositive attitude and excellent communication skillsAbility to keep the bar organized, stocked and cleanRelevant training certificateLocation: Hotel Indigo New Orleans
