Job Title: Duct Work Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking Duct Work Assemblers to join our team on the first shift. The work hours are from 6am to 2:30pm, with potential overtime before 6am and some Saturdays from 8am to 4pm. This role involves assembling duct work, using hand and power tools, and requires standing for up to 10 hours a day. The assembler will work at a designated station and must be adept at reading tape measures and basic blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Assemble ductwork using hand and air driven tools.
• Wrap ends of duct work.
• Assist with loading ductwork onto trucks using a hand truck.
• Clean shop work area, empty trash, and metal scraps.
• Assist with trimming, filing, grinding, deburring, and buffing of metal surfaces.
• Perform welding area tasks such as hammering, chipping, and grinding workpieces to cut, bend, and straighten metal.
• Safely operate power tools.
• May be trained to operate weld pinner machinery.
• Review weekly safety toolbox talks.
• Speak, write, read, and understand English well enough to perform essential duties.
• Perform related work as assigned.

Work Environment

The role is based in a duct work fabrication shop located in York County with about 25 employees. The work is conducted indoors in a manufacturing area that is not air-conditioned. The environment does not have wet or slippery conditions, and debris is not present. Workers have limited exposure to chemical hazards and the noise level is usually loud. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Safety gear including over-the-ankle work boots, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection are required

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in York,PA.
