Our client, a leading organization in the lumber and manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Forklift Operator to join their dynamic team. As a 2nd Shift Forklift Operator, you will be an essential part of the warehouse operations team, supporting efficient material handling and ensuring a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to safety and detail, and a strong commitment to safety, aligning seamlessly with the company's values and operational goals.

Location: Athens, AL

Pay Range: $18.00 per hour

Shift: Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM until finish (typically 10–12 hour shifts)

What's the Job?

• Operate a forklift to transport lumber and materials throughout the yard and warehouse safely and efficiently
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols
• Stack and organize lumber products in designated areas for easy access and inventory management
• Inspect materials for quality and report any damages or discrepancies
• Perform basic forklift inspections and adhere to all safety procedures at all times

What's Needed?

• Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Strong attention to safety and detail to prevent accidents and ensure quality
• Ability to work extended hours and perform physically demanding tasks
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
