Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Systems Engineer - Level 5 to support a program out of our Aurora, CO location.What You’ll get to Do:Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Maintain existing operations procedures up-to-date to also include lessons learned from real-time performance. Develop new procedures as required. Interface with program and customer personnel.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other STEM related degree with 12 years of relevant experience; 10 years of relevant experience with a Master's; 8 years of relevant experience with a PhD.Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance at the time of application and willingness to sit for a polygraphExperience in systems engineering, requirements, test plan/strategyEffective written and oral communications skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with JIRAExperience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) / Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and approachPrimary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
