Associate Director, FP&A

Cytokinetics seeks an Associate Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to serve as the primary finance business partner to the Commercial organization during its transition to commercial-stage operations. The role involves budget management, variance analysis, and strategic financial counsel to support informed commercial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary finance business partner to Sales, Marketing, Patient Treatment Experience, and Commercial Operations functions
- Lead annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning for commercial operating expenses and headcount
- Deliver periodic variance analysis and recommend actions to improve forecast accuracy and resource allocation
- Provide decision support analyses on field force sizing, promotional investments, launch readiness, and new indication business cases
- Develop scalable planning infrastructure including models, dashboards, and repeatable planning processes for a growing commercial organization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
- 10+ years progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience with commercial business partnering
- Commercial-stage biotechnology or pharmaceutical company experience
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial operating expenses and headcount
- Advanced financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities
- Executive-level communication and presentation skills with data-driven influence
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
Compensation: $200,700-$234,150 base salary
