Desired Qualifications:

• Active Sign Language Interpreter license issued by NCDPI (documentation of current licensure required with application)
• EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or higher
• Demonstrated proficiency and prior experience with ECATS software
• Previous school-based interpreting or experience in educational settings highly preferred
• Ability to collaborate with educational teams and provide high-quality communication support

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one sign language interpretation services to an elementary student, ensuring clear communication in academic, social, and extracurricular settings
• Facilitate effective communication between the student, teachers, and peers during classroom instruction and school activities
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to developing and updating student plans as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and school policies in all interactions
• Utilize ECATS software for documentation and communication as required

This full-time contract role offers a consistent schedule aligned with the academic calendar, running through May 2027.
