F&B Boutique Supervisor

The Boutique Supervisor is a customer-facing role at Birds of Paradise Gelato Boutique that manages the team of service crew and the boutique environment with the goal of delivering delightful experiences to every customer, according to company’s standards.

Responsibilities

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

• Coordinate daily shift operations, ensuring effective workflow and adherence to SOPs
• Uphold boutique cleanliness and operational standards at all times
• Receive deliveries, maintain storage, and replenish consumables as required
• Assist in maintaining accurate timesheets and attendance checks
• Maintain accurate inventory and complete timely inventory count
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in cashiering
• Support achievement of boutique cost KPIs
• Assist the Boutique Manager in service crew rostering and manpower management
• Observe, improve, and implement better ways of working within the boutique
• Set up, tear down, and provide service at ad hoc off-site events

TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

• Lead, support, and guide the service crew in delivering best-in-class customer experiences
• Support, troubleshoot, and provide guidance to service crew during shifts
• Interview, induct, and train new service crew members
• Evaluate ongoing performance of service crew and provide constructive feedback to support their development
• Model the brand's values in daily interactions with the crew
• Manage crew morale, discipline, and professionalism

CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE

• Proactively engage, serve and delight customers in boutiques, at events and all other channels (phone, text, etc.)
• Scoop and portion gelato accurately to company standards
• Make cones and prepare cups to company standards
• Prepare related products, including for delivery or events
• Safeguard product quality through proper handling
• Manage feedback and complaints with warmth and professionalism
• Maintain in-boutique ambiance, scape and customer experience standards
• Manage in-boutique signage for relevance, effectiveness, cleanliness, and condition
• Ensure POSM (point-of-sale materials) and promotional displays are set up accurately
• Ensure service quality standards are consistently met

SALES & CUSTOMER INSIGHTS

• Support achievement of boutique sales targets and KPIs during shifts
• Share observations and suggestions with the Boutique Manager on ways to improve sales and enhance customer experience

FACILITIES & COMPLIANCE

• Support in implementing measures for the health and safety of staff and customers
• Coordinate servicing and maintenance of boutique equipment and premises with external vendors
• Organise and maintain work areas

Requirements

• Diploma or higher
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (excel, word) and Google Suites (google doc, google sheet)
• Shift work (5-day work week, including weekends & most Public Holidays)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience (preferred)
• Basic Food & Hygiene Certificate (can be attained prior to the job)
