CNC Machinist Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified CNC machinist with experience in

Turning Center and/or Horizontal Machining Center. This candidate will

perform under limited supervision and be responsible for the set-up and

operation of various shop machinery for parts production, utilizing

drawings/prints, programming instructions and inspection conformance

measures.

Tasks:

*Perform machine set-up, load and measure tooling

*Work from prints and/or drawings to produce a wide variety of

products

*Perform high-tolerance production-style machining using GD&T and

in-process inspection methodology

*Check height, depth and thickness of parts using micrometers, dial

indicators, calipers, gauges and other precision measurement equipment*Produce precision parts within the time constraints listed on the job

*Perform routine maintenance per machine requirements

*Maintain personal quality tooling and accurate record keeping

Skills and requirements:

*Graduate of a technical school, full apprenticeship program or

comparable demonstrated experience

*Demonstrated ability to create products requiring exacting tolerances

*Read and understand G and M code

*Read and understand blueprints and drawings as well as trigonometry

*Demonstrate a high level of detail attention

*Ability to lift frequently up to 10 pounds (occasional lifting of up to 50

pounds)

*Ability to work independently, responsibly, and reliably

*Proficiency with inspection tools

*Must have your own machinist tools and basic inspection tools

(calipers, micrometer, dial indicator...available for purchase on site)
