Forestdale is a NYC child welfare agency working to prevent child abuse/neglect through parenting, prevention, and foster care services, focusing on low-income and immigrant communities in NYC. Forestdale operates out of three offices to better serve the families of Brooklyn and Queens. Job Summary The Licensed Social Worker is responsible for conducting clinical assessments, providing interventions, and developing treatment plans for all children on their caseload in the foster care program. Clinical hours count towards LCSW. Master's/Limited License - $60,000 Masters/License - $65,000 Major Responsibilities/Activities Performing clinical and trauma-based assessments; establish treatment goals and interventions, in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team (family, case planning, medical team, health homes). Providing trauma-informed treatment, TFCBT, CPP, and others. Structuring interventions to decrease problem behavior and increase developmentally appropriate pro-social behavior. Coordinating community mental health referrals. Participating in case conferences and multi-disciplinary clinical team meetings, as needed Other duties as assigned. Requirements Master's degree from an accredited university in behavioral sciences or a related field Preferred 1-3 years' experience delivering direct services to children, youth, and families. Compliance with: required background checks, mandated reporter training, and applicable provisions of the NYS Education Law. Spanish Speaking Required Additional Comments A limited permit is allowed, provided that a License will be obtained within two months before the expiration of the restricted permit.
