Principal Systems Engineer - Tac Comm

Salary: $107,500 - 204,500 per year Requirements:

• We require a STEM degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related discipline with at least 5 years of experience.
• We need experience across the systems development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, decomposition, integration, verification and validation, and transition to production.
• We require the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance.
• We require U.S. citizenship, since only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• We prefer experience with lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, modulation meters, power meters, audio analyzers, and signal generators.
• We prefer experience working in an Agile environment.
• We prefer strong communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to program management and executive leadership.
• We prefer familiarity with DOORS, CAMEO, or similar tools, as well as programming languages such as Rust and Python.
• We prefer experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering.

• We conduct analysis, architecture, and design across the full system lifecycle, from concept and fabrication through test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
• We perform functional analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition to convert customer needs into hardware and software specifications.
• We decompose customer and system-level requirements into subsystem and component-level requirements, and define verification criteria and plans.
• We oversee technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk assessment, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for complete system solutions.
• We lead bid and proposal activities.
• We work daily in a classified and controlled laboratory setting.
• We travel up to 10% as needed.
