Registered Veterinary Technician – Internal Medicine Located in Culver City, ACCESS LA is a referral hospital with 24‑hour emergency services. Technicians encounter a wide range of cases, from exotic wildlife to advanced surgical procedures, working closely with highly qualified veterinarians in a fast‑paced, renowned animal hospital. Compensation and Bonuses Licensed Technicians: $26/hr – $42/hr Veterinary Technician Services (VTS): $43/hr – $45/hr Pay determined based on experience and skills Total bonus opportunity: up to $10,000 per year Sign‑on bonus: $5,000 Retention bonus at 12 months: $2,500 Retention bonus at 24 months: $2,500 (subject to eligibility and bonus agreement terms) Schedule Sunday – Wednesday Role Responsibilities Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients. Work with endoscopic procedures, joint taps, bone marrow aspirates, MRI and CT scans. Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state Veterinary Practice Act requirements for credentialed veterinary technicians. Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments. Maintain comprehensive medical records using practice systems. Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain accurate medical charts. Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and maintain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs. Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members. Experience & Skills Requirements RVT license required. Understanding of anesthesia protocols, including pre‑anesthetic assessments, drug dosages, and post‑anesthesia care. Proficiency in monitoring equipment, administering anesthesia, and responding to anesthesia‑related emergencies. Attention to detail, ensuring precise dosages, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining detailed patient records. Desire to offer superior patient care. Positive work attitude. Flexible schedule.
