Mid-Level Private Capital Tax Associate | New York / Miami

Currently working with the leadership of an elite AmLaw 20 firm to identify a mid-level tax associate for its highly regarded Private Capital tax practice — ranked Band 1 by Chambers Global.

\n

\n

This is a rare opportunity to join a top-tier, globally integrated tax practice advising on some of the most sophisticated private capital work in the market.

• Elite Practice: Band 1 Chambers Global–ranked tax practice, recognized worldwide for the quality of its advice across planning, transactions, and dispute resolution.
\n
• Sophisticated, Varied Work: Structuring domestic and cross-border investments across asset classes — private equity fund formation and carried interest structures, real estate tax (FIRPTA, REITs, QOZs, 1031 exchanges), partnership tax and joint ventures, energy tax credit monetization, and family office/wealth structuring.
\n
• Global Platform: Work directly with colleagues across practice groups and countries on cutting-edge, developing areas of tax law.
\n
• Strong Compensation: $260K–$365K base (NY), bonus eligible, full benefits.
\n
• Flexibility: Hybrid work arrangement, based in New York or Miami.

Ideal Candidate

\n

\n
• 3–5 years of relevant tax experience in some combination of: private equity/fund formation, real estate taxation, partnership tax, energy tax credits, or family office/estate planning structures
\n
• Top academic credentials; LLM in Taxation a plus but not required
\n
• Admitted to (or eligible to waive into) the New York or Florida Bar
\n
• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, cross-border environment and learning fast in areas with limited formal guidance
\n
