Shift: Night 3x12 (19:00 - 07:30)
Description: Option for 13 to 26 weeks. Shift: 3x12 nights 1900-0730. Weekend coverage every other but may change based on need. Float is required if needed. Medication system: Omnicell. One year of EPIC experience is required. Required certificates: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and SC RN license. Patient diagnoses: CAD S/P CABG, cardiac valve repair, lung cancer S/P VATS, esophageal cancer. Special procedures: Must be able to pass the EKG exam prestart and experience with post-surgical CV patients. Cardiac drips and insulin drip experience is required. Requesting two years of experience in the field. Three years experience within specialty required for first-time travelers.

Additional Unit Information: Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, unit secretary. Patient diagnoses: CAD S/P CABG, cardiac valve repair, lung cancer S/P VATS, esophageal cancer. Special procedures/unit details: Use vendor neutral.

Travel Compliance Extensions: Effective 2/1/26 (Nursing only, excluding CVOR). Travelers cannot extend for a fourth consecutive contract. Travelers will need to begin the process of converting to an employee status after working their third consecutive 13-week contract or after 39 weeks. If the traveler does not wish to convert to a team member status, they will be required to take a minimum six-month separation before they are eligible to return as a traveler for the organization. Travelers must be 100 miles from every Prisma facility (regardless of where they are applying) to be eligible to travel in the system, unless they are one of the two exceptions below. 90-99.9 miles are accepted at a 10% bill rate reduction. 100+ miles full bill rate. Exception 1: Night shift travelers for below specialties must be 50+ miles ONLY from the contracted campus they are applying to. Full BR granted at 100+ miles away. 50.0-99.9 miles is 10% bill rate reduction. Under 50 miles is ineligible. Adult multi-specialty, adult medical tele/adult cardiac tele/progressive care, all RRT. Exception 2: Below specialties must be 50+ miles from the relevant flagship hospital (Prisma Richland or Prisma Greenville). Full BR granted at 100+ miles away. 50.0-99.9 miles is 10% bill rate reduction. Under 50 miles is ineligible. Operating room (including allied and SPT), cath lab (including allied), CT/MRI/IR techs/echo techs, MLTs, SLPs, PTs, OTs, dietitians, adult ICU, Prisma Health Tuomey (all open positions). Local radius: 60 miles. For CRNAs only. Will consider nurses with 1+ years of recent experience in unit. Must send social security number with submittal. Orientation is every Monday. Pre-assignment testing (all RNs) and modules required for all travelers to complete within 48 hours of receiving the login information (which usually comes within 24 hours of the nurse signing their contract). Travelers are eligible for reimbursement for hours spent completing modules (up to 16 hours) and time will be verified upon start of contract. EMR experience: 1-year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required. If you have any issues, please let the account manager or your CS know ASAP. Floating: Prisma Health’s goal is to keep staff in their home unit. However, it is a requirement for all assignments that agency staff, regardless of unit or facility, must float to other Prisma Health units and/or campuses per request due to census concerns. Staff will only be floating to units they are qualified for and performing tasks for which competencies have already been demonstrated and documented. Modules: Modules are billable, up to 16 hours. Modules are completed pre-start and not included in NBO, and completed annually. Modules are recorded in transcripts by Prisma Health, time is not entered into timecards.
