Process Specialist

SUMMARY:

Develop and implement process and safety procedures in a production environment. Provide leadership and technical support for the efficient operation of the department. SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 11:00PM

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Support process development, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement. Assist and train equipment setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting. Conduct root cause analysis on process and quality issues and recommend corrective actions. Document process parameters, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth operation of manufacturing equipment. Provide technical support during process pilots, run to rates, and new product launches.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Associate degree, or military training, in related technical field. Minimum of 2 years technical degree or 3 years experience as engineering technician. Ability to operate department machines and knowledge of production processes are preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to develop and deliver effective training to individuals or small groups of team members. Good writing skills needed to write processes and training guidelines. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to direct the work efforts of other team members. Aptitude to learn electrical and/or mechanical skills. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Team player who is self‑motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work at a fast pace efficiently. Basic math skills. Ability to read blueprints and work instructions and maintain accurate records. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff. Ability to operate forklift, pallet mover, or hoist equipment. Forklift certification may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

Physical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Working Conditions: Exposure to a normal office environment. Position may occasionally require entering a production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varied temperatures.
