You will define scalable architectures, guide complex cross-product integrations, and help turn emerging customer needs into secure, enterprise-ready solutions that strengthen the broader Identity strategy. Key responsibilities include:Architectural Leadership & Strategy: Define the technical direction for identity and privileged access capabilities, establishing scalable architectures and patterns that can support a broad range of enterprise security use cases across Cisco's identity platform.Identity & Platform Innovation: Lead the design and delivery of security capabilities that reduce standing privilege and give customers greater control over access to critical resources. Help evolve early customer-preview functionality into secure, intuitive, enterprise-ready experiences that can support a broad range of infrastructure and access scenarios. Balance near-term product needs with longer-term platform investments that enable consistent security outcomes across Cisco Identity.Cross-Functional Leadership: Translate complex customer security requirements into practical technical solutions. Navigate ambiguity across engineering, product, design, and partner teams. Influence architectural decisions across organizational boundaries, establish effective collaboration patterns, and help other Identity teams navigate the technical and organizational challenges of building integrated security experiences at scale.Operational Excellence & Reliability: Influence production readiness and operational maturity. Use your deep expertise to build resilient, self-healing systems to ensure that our infrastructure is not only scalable but also highly observable, maintaining the rigorous uptime and performance standards required by our global customer base.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree and 10+ years of industry experience, or Masters and 8+ years of industry experience, or PhD and 6+ years of industry experience Experience in AI-driven development experience to include writing code, building systems, and developing strategies for using AI to assist in workExperience building cloud services to include AWS, GCP or AzurePreferred Qualifications Experience with Kafka, data infrastructure, and/or streaming architecture to include building and operating production systems Experience in Identity and Security domainsExperience in a SaasSRE/operations experience to run this infrastructure reliably in production to include a SRE mindset for observability, incident response, capacity planning, and reliabilityAbility to navigate ambiguity and identify technical solutions and paths forwardAbility to influence without authorityAbility to continuously iterate and make decisions with a bias of actionWhy Cisco?
