Senior Data Engineer

Ensemble RCM LLC supports healthcare revenue cycle operations with scalable data engineering that prioritizes data integrity, security, performance, and compliance. This Senior Data Engineering role is based in Blue Ash, OH (remote) and supports teams that turn product and business concepts into reliable, production-ready data solutions. The position offers USD 101,600 - 152,400 per year and requires 6+ years of hands‑on engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy, monitor, and continuously improve scalable data pipelines and API integrations .
• Use generative AI tools in day‑to‑day engineering work to accelerate development and improve quality, including troubleshooting complex systems and designing scalable data solutions.
• Translate product and business concepts into incremental, high‑quality technical deliverables .
• Participate in hands‑on design sessions and contribute through thorough code reviews .
• Implement data quality monitoring to help ensure accurate, reliable production data.
• Review and recommend architectural patterns that align with enterprise platforms and best practices.
• Maintain a consistent approach to applying generative AI to improve code quality, accelerate development, and support scalable architectures.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands‑on experience developing solutions using Microsoft SQL .
• 3+ years working with big data technologies including Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and Microsoft Azure (ADF, Dataflows, Azure Functions, Service Bus).
• Strong engineering fundamentals, including automated testing , code reviews , telemetry , iterative delivery, and DevOps .
• Experience with polyglot storage architectures across relational , columnar , key‑value , and graph systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Delta Lake tables and Parquet data stored in ADLS .
• Experience building distributed, componentized applications using event‑driven patterns .
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical , globally distributed audiences.
• Solid foundation in software architecture , design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Healthcare data experience; familiarity with HL7 or EDI is a plus.
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
