Job Summary
The Café Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the café,
ensuring a clean, welcoming, compliant, and profitable environment for members and
guests. This role provides hands-on leadership to café staff, supports sales and
customer service, manages inventory and ordering, and ensures the café consistently
meets company standards for cleanliness, food safety, and member experience.
The Café Lead serves as a key point of contact for café operations and works closely
with management to identify opportunities to improve sales, products, processes, and
overall member satisfaction.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position provides supervision to others: No – while this role does not directly
oversee staff, it is responsible for training and day to day operations.
 Supervise and provide day-to-day direction to café staff.
 Train and support new café employees on company expectations, procedures,
customer service, and café operations.
 Ensure café staff follow established food safety, cleanliness, customer service,
and operational standards.
 Provide feedback and coaching to café staff as needed.
 Communicate staffing, operational, or performance concerns to management.
Duties Responsibilities
 Oversee the daily operations of the café to ensure an efficient, organized, and
positive member experience.
 Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the café, including work areas,
equipment, counters, storage areas, and customer-facing spaces.
 Order food, beverages, supplies, and other café products as needed to maintain
appropriate inventory levels.
 Monitor inventory levels, track product usage, and minimize waste, spoilage, and
unnecessary expenses.
 Ensure products are properly stored, labeled, rotated, and handled in accordance
with applicable food safety requirements.

 Maintain compliance with health and safety requirements and support the café in
preparing for and successfully completing health inspections.
 Monitor café sales and identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve
product performance.
 Recommend and implement new products, menu items, promotions, or other
ideas to increase café sales and enhance the member experience.
 Provide product samples to members when appropriate and in accordance with
company guidelines.
 Monitor and respond to member feedback related to the café and work to resolve
concerns promptly and professionally.
 Support positive Google reviews and the cafés online reputation by providing
excellent customer service and encouraging satisfied members to share their
experiences.
 Ensure the café is appropriately stocked, presented, and ready for members
throughout operating hours.
 Maintain accurate records related to inventory, ordering, sales, and other café
operations as required.
 Communicate café needs, trends, challenges, and opportunities to management.
 Ensure company policies, procedures, and standards are consistently followed.
 All other duties as assigned.

Education Experience
 High school diploma or equivalent required.
 Food safety or food handler certification, if required by applicable state or local
regulations.

 Previous experience in a café, restaurant, food service, retail, hospitality, or
customer-facing environment preferred.
 Previous leadership, supervisory, or training experience preferred.
 Experience with inventory management, ordering, sales, or customer service
preferred.
