Surgical Technician

Responsibilities The Operating Room Tech is responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining the sterile field during the case, and providing the surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments throughout the procedure. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent, or related experience for new hires effective April 2014. Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred). Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics). Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty surgical areas (e.g., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro). Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter. Pay Transparency Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center offers competitive compensation. The current compensation range for this role is $33.67 to $33.67 per hour. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or employment status. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
