Position Summary: The Food Service Aide performs various food service functions, maintains clean and sanitary conditions of food service areas, and may assist in food preparation. Responsibilities: Report at assigned time, in uniform, ready for duty Handle food and equipment according to sanitation policies and procedures Follow safety regulations when operating equipment Deliver food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas, including resident rooms and dining rooms, as instructed Serve in dining rooms Prepare and deliver snacks as directed Assist in cleaning duties according to policies and procedures Report discrepancies to supervisor Provide high-quality, compassionate service to residents and families Perform other related duties as assigned Educational/Vocational Requirements: Ability to read, write, and understand English; previous Food Service Aide experience is helpful. Job Skills: Knowledge of food handling and serving methods Understanding of sanitation practices Ability to follow diet lists, portion food, and serve attractively Effective interaction with staff, residents, families, visitors, and the public Ability to read, write, speak, and follow oral and written instructions in English Provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test Related Duties: Interact with residents, families, visitors, and staff Perform additional tasks as needed #J-18808-Ljbffr ivorywellnessctr
