As a Credit Reporting Associate (Operational Compliance) at Concord Servicing, your responsibilities include investigating and resolving credit report disputes submitted by consumers, ensuring compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), reviewing credit information thoroughly, verifying accuracy, and addressing discrepancies or potential errors related to credit history. You will communicate directly with consumers to understand their concerns and handle cases involving alleged identity theft or fraud. Responsibilities Review credit reports for disputed items, contact creditors to gather supporting documentation, and determine if the information complies with FCRA guidelines. Gather accurate consumer financial information from internal systems, verify its completeness and accuracy before submitting it to credit bureaus. Analyze credit reports, identify patterns, and utilize credit reporting tools to investigate disputes. Communicate with consumers to understand their credit report disputes, explain the investigation process, and provide updates. Manage cases involving alleged identity theft, following proper protocols to protect sensitive information. Review data quality metrics regularly to identify errors and implement corrective actions. Use specialized software to format and submit consumer data to credit bureaus in the correct standardized format. Stay updated on FCRA regulations and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Maintain detailed records of all dispute investigations, including communications with consumers and creditors. Requirements Familiarity with credit bureau reporting systems and data formatting standards. Proven experience as a Credit Report and Compliance Specialist or similar role. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
