Senior Accountant

Location: Durham, NC or Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 2 days onsite) Salary: Base + 10% bonus + equity Our client is a fast-growing life insurance and annuities company looking to add a Senior Accountant to its expanding finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while helping build and improve accounting processes as the company continues to grow. Responsibilities Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close process. Perform account reconciliations, accruals, and prepaid expense accounting. Manage accounts payable, vendor payments, and daily cash posting reviews. Assist with payroll accounting, expense allocations, and GAAP consolidation preparation. Prepare 1099s and support financial reporting and compliance activities. Maintain accurate financial records and help improve accounting processes and internal controls. Partner with the Controller on special projects and other accounting initiatives. Qualifications 2+ years of public accounting experience. Experience with a national or regional public accounting firm. Strong experience with journal entries, month-end close, and financial reporting. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Preferred CPA. Insurance or life insurance industry experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
