CSP Tech, (FT-Evening), Somerville NJ

Job Overview Position: CSP Tech (Central Sterile Processing). Location: RWJ Somerset, Somerville, NJ. Shift: Evening. Status: Full‑Time. Pay Range: $23.28 - $29.09 per hour. Essential Functions Maintain adequate inventory for assembly of instruments and equipment. Perform multiple tasks that assist in the daily operation of all units and provide customer service. Decontaminate and clean all instrumentation and equipment received from all units according to established standards and procedures. Prepare case carts and trays for decontamination and load them into washer and/or sterilizer as prescribed. Operate index washers, cart washers, ultrasonic cleaners and manually clean instruments and equipment following established standards. Inspect all instruments for cleanliness, proper function and breakage before assembly. Use appropriate containers, wraps or pouches according to instrument size. Sterilize instruments and surgical trays following prescribed policies and procedures. Run tests on all sterilizers, monitor and document that all parameters have been met. Use chemicals appropriately, taking into account intended use and PPE requirements. Assist in expediting the OR schedule by obtaining instruments/equipment in a timely manner and assembling/distributing case carts accurately. Qualifications Current National Sterile Processing Certification and 1 year of CSP experience. Preferred: 2 years of CRCST experience in a hospital setting or Same Day Surgery Center. Certifications and Licenses Required Current National Sterile Processing Certification. Scheduling Requirements Evening Shift, 40 hours/week. Full‑Time.
