Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Specialty

Location: Lawrenceburg, TN

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours. Weekend Hours: Every Other/As Needed. Call Requirements: As Needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Orthopedic care to provide excellent patient care in a Medical-Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for orthopedic patients and will be expected to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality healthcare services to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic patients in a Medical-Surgical setting.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as per standards and protocols.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment protocols and expected outcomes.
• Participate in patient care meetings and contribute to care strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with a focus on orthopedic patients.
• Experience with various patient populations, from geriatric to pediatric.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR), specifically Medhost.
