The Licensed Practical Nurse Lead is responsible for non-clinical tasks, direct patient care, ongoing education, reinforcement of care plans, and providing general support in an ambulatory setting under the direction and supervision of the patient's physician or licensed medical practitioner or designee in accordance with policy and procedure and competency to promote patient health and wellness.

The Licensed Practical Nurse Lead serves as a clinical leader and serves as a resource for CMA and LPN team members, providing expertise and guidance as well as validating skills and competencies.

This position requires providing services to all age populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individuals served.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program required.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinic setting required. Demonstration of leadership, training, and process improvement preferred.

Licensure: Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia prior to onboarding.

Additional Skills/Requirements Required: AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required. Ability to successfully complete general and department role based specific skills validation and competency testing.

Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Leadership development.

Physical Demand Code: Medium to Heavy Physical Demand: The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use Safe Handling Equipment.

The base compensation range for this role is $24.15 - $34.37 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs such as shift differentials, clinical ladders, and other incentives that may be available for those in eligible positions.
