Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN), Rochester, MN. The role coordinates nursing care for critically ill adult patients with altered cardiac function and hemodynamic instability, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care. The RN plans, implements, evaluates, and communicates all phases of nursing care for assigned patients and supports professional nursing practice across the continuum of care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating day/night rotation (07001930 and 19000730); 36 hours per week; every third weekend required
• Required Qualifications: Current RN license by applicable state requirements; Minimum education: student or graduate of an accredited baccalaureate, associate, or diploma nursing program as recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE); Basic Life Support (BLS) competency (and for Arizona/Florida, BLS competency maintenance); Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate of course completion required for the Midwest and must not expire within 3 months after start date; Two years of recent acute nursing experience; One year of recent RN travel; Two years Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (Cardiac ICU) RN experience; Required experience includes pulmonary artery catheter, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella, advanced hemodynamic monitoring and management, and ventilator management
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)
• Additional Information: The assignment is for a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU) 13-week contract. Floating is required as needed.
