Job Details

A respected boutique firm is seeking a commercial litigation associate with 4+ years of experience to join its Dallas office. This is an opportunity to take on substantive responsibility in complex business disputes while working closely with experienced partners who came up through top national firms.

Responsibilities

Manage all phases of commercial litigation, from pre-suit investigation and pleadings through discovery, dispositive motions, trial, and appeal.
Handle a variety of business disputes, including breach of contract, business torts, partnership and shareholder disputes, construction, and other complex commercial matters.
Draft and argue motions, briefs, and other court filings in state and federal court, as well as in arbitration.
Take and defend depositions, manage document discovery, and work with experts.
Communicate directly with clients and contribute to case strategy alongside partners.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
Active license to practice law in Texas (or eligibility for prompt admission).
4+ years of commercial litigation experience, ideally with a large or well-regarded litigation firm.
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Hands-on experience with depositions, motion practice, and discovery; trial or arbitration experience is a plus.
Ability to manage matters independently in a lean, collaborative team environment.
