MRI Technologist

Shift: 40 hours week, 2 x 16 hour shifts, 1 x 8 hour shift Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks. Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam. Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging. Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions. Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements. Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
