Operations Coordinator

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day logistics and transportation operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience in customer service, call center, or transportation/logistics operations.

Location: Kansas City, MO 64114

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (local time)

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $ 25.00/hour

Job Type: Contract (through LHH)

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute operational tasks with accuracy and efficiency, including:
• Creating and managing orders
• Scheduling appointments and activating shipments
• Tracking and tracing shipments
• Building, assigning, and booking loads
• Invoicing and updating financial data
• Monitor task boards and shared email inboxes to respond to customer and carrier requests
• Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of customer and carrier inquiries
• Validate load data and maintain accuracy within internal systems
• Document activities and escalate issues as needed in accordance with procedures
• Support non-standard tasks such as carrier payments and exception handling
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, call center, or transportation/logistics environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent communication, time management, and prioritization skills
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
