Certified Payroll SpecialistSparrow Company is currently seeking a Certified Payroll Specialist for one of our valued clients in the Summerlin, Nevada area.Position OverviewWe are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Certified Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations and ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements, certified payroll regulations, and applicable labor compliance programs.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess certified payroll accurately and in a timely manner.Track time for prevailing wage hourly employees.Follow up with supervisors regarding timekeeping approvals.Generate weekly certified payroll reports and submit them to the appropriate agencies.Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information in PayTrax.Interpret complex contract documents, delivery methods, and agreements related to construction.Analyze certified payroll, prevailing wage, and apprenticeship documentation to ensure compliance with applicable laws and labor compliance programs.Interact with employees, supervisors, management, and other stakeholders at all levels while maintaining positive and respectful relationships.Review and organize information, materials, and documentation independently and efficiently.Identify deficiencies and request additional information when needed.Take appropriate action to resolve issues and maintain compliance.Support the Prevailing Wage Payroll Manager with various tasks and special projects as needed.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with payroll data, construction-related documentation, and compliance requirements.
