Production Manager

We are currently working with a family-owned manufacturing company seeking a Production Manager for their Madison, WI location. What's the role? We are looking for a hands-on, results-driven leader who can oversee daily production while driving efficiency, quality, and team performance. This role offers ownership of the full production process-from planning and scheduling to execution, team leadership, and continuous improvement. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative manufacturing environment and enjoys optimizing processes while developing and leading a team. Key responsibilities include: Plan, organize, and manage daily production schedules to ensure timely completion of products Monitor production processes and adjust workflows as needed to meet deadlines Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams to ensure products meet specifications, materials, and quality standards Partner with internal departments including customer service, purchasing, warehousing, and shipping Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions Drive production efficiency and reduce waste through continuous improvement efforts Analyze production data and provide reports to leadership Lead and develop production staff, including hiring, training, and performance management Facilitate daily and weekly production meetings Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies Support employee engagement, morale, and recognition initiatives Implement and maintain best practices for manufacturing processes What experience and skills do I need to be successful?
