Role: Medical Unit Receptionist
Schedule: FT 36 7:00pm - 7:00am - Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and every other Monday
Department: General Medical Surgical
Location: Forsyth Medical Center Winston Salem, NC
As an MUR you will perform clerical and receptionist roles to facilitate the efficient operation and maintenance of the patient care area under the supervision of the health care team members.
Unit description: We are a General Medical Surgical unit within our Forsyth Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse on this unit you will care for patients coming to us post PACU with gastrointestinal issues, hepatobiliary surgeries, pancreatitis, ostomies, vascular surgeries (BKA, DVT and cellulitis) and orthopedic overflow surgeries.
What We're Looking For
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Experience: One year experience in healthcare, preferred.
- Licensure/certification/registration: NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
- Additional skills preferred: Experience with answering multiple phone lines. Basic computer skills. Excellent customer service behaviors.
