Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for Ascension St Vincent Southside Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. The role involves performing laboratory testing procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring quality control in a high-volume production environment. Position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

Responsibilities

Evaluate specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex technical testing procedures
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
Prepare, test and evaluate reagents and controls according to protocols
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
Report accurate test results and maintain safe work environment with proper safety equipment

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
One year or more clinical laboratory testing experience OR MLS degree
Florida Medical Technologist (MT) license
ASCP or AMT certification preferred
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills

Compensation: $5,000 sign-on bonus (external candidates only)
