Painter - 2nd Shift

Shift & Pay 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00pm – 1:30am. Pay rates: Painter I: $19.75/hr + $2.50/hr = $22.25/hr Painter II: $20.50/hr + $2.50/hr = $23.00/hr Painter III: $21.25/hr + $2.50/hr = $23.75/hr Responsibilities Painter I – Major responsibilities: Loading, transferring and unloading parts on/from paint line; hanging/racking parts for paint application; inspecting quality before and after finishing; performing work in safe manner per policy; working in high heat; exchanging and breaking down racks; preparing for burn‑off; maintaining counts; reporting scrap; stock handling; maintaining a clean environment. PainterII – Major responsibilities: Perform cleaning and other preliminary operations to prepare materials for coating; perform painting operation in paint booth; assist in maintaining paint equipment. PainterIII – Major responsibilities: Perform work in safe manner per policy; perform painting process in the system, monitor coverage and quality; flex across different products/areas; provide training to new employees or new work areas with work instructions/standard work. Minimum Job Requirements PainterI: High school diploma or equivalent; 0–2years experience; detail oriented and organized. PainterII: Must meet all PainterI requirements; able to pass a pulmonary function test to ensure they can wear an air hood. PainterIII: 2years experience in a powder coat painting environment; able to pass a pulmonary function test (PPE). Preferred Job Requirements Demonstrated experience in root cause problem solving (5‑Why, 8‑D, PDCA, etc.). Demonstrated experience training other employees to work instructions/standard work. Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP system (Oracle, JDEdwards, Microsoft Dynamics). Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; use hands to manipulate objects or controls; stand and walk; occasionally stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders; lift up to 25–50pounds. The job may also involve frequent and continuous computer‑based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
