Food and Beverage Guest Services (Temporary Position)

Food & Beverage Department Role

Primary Function: To assist in the daily routines and procedures in the Food & Beverage Department at the Legacy Arena.

Pay Grade: $16.50 per hour

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Terms of Employment: Temporary Work - Must be at least 16 years of age.

Educational Level: High School or College Student

Certification/License Required: None

Food & Beverage Department Role(s): Concessions & Catering Worker

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests and provide quick, courteous service during high-volume events
• Take and prepare food and non-alcoholic beverage orders (popcorn, hot dogs, pretzels, snacks, soft drinks, etc.)
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash and cashless transactions accurately
• Keep concession areas clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout events
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Work as part of a team to manage long lines and maintain fast service
• Upsell menu items and combo deals when appropriate
• Address customer questions or concerns in a professional manner

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Basic math and money-handling skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally perform light lifting up to 15 lbs.
