Account ManagerSan Diego, California, United StatesSr. Accounting ManagerSAN DIEGO, CADescriptionSenior Accounting Manager required for boutique firm in San Diego.This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the companies, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of all accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with GAAP. The Sr. Accounting Manager is responsible for cash management and risk management, including collections and billables, and must have a comprehensive understanding and management of financial reporting and the general ledger structure. This dynamic role provides the Companies' Senior Management Team with vital financial information, including profitability analysis and forecasting.Experience in Professional Services OR experience with Law Firms is preferred as is a solid understanding of legal billing is required.Responsibilities Include the following:Financial reportsCash flow forecastingBalance sheet schedules PayrollAll operations of the accounting department, including SOPs and transaction processing for the CompaniesManaging staff resources who assist with AR/AP and bank reconciliationsInvoicing and time trackingAnnual budget preparationTrust accounting, including maintenance of the organization's client accounts within the firm's legal software. Debt payments and monitoring Accounting SOPs and systems of controls for accounting transactionsMonthly, quarterly, and annual closingsCalculating variances from the budget and reporting significant issues to managementWeekly accounting meetings with the CEOCoordination of information to external accounting firm for tax preparations and auditsCompliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plusExperience working for mid-size companies, law firms, and trust accounting preferred5+ years experience in accounting positionsAttention to detail, management experience and strong leadership skills are requiredExperience in forecasting preferredExperience with QuickBooks and/or Clio preferredIntermediate/Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, TeamsSalaryStarting base salary of $100,000 - $120,000 per year in San Diego (DOE)Firm offers an excellent salary and benefits package, including medical and 401(k)Or refer someone
