POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for performing routine accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the accounting team with daily operations. Responsible for one or more of the Company’s affiliated corporations, non-profit organizations, single member LLC’s or joint ventures.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

Process payments of approved payables including preparing supporting schedules for payment approval. Review assigned properties’ payable input for accuracy through workflow. Process cash receipts received by the Hawaii Corporate office. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as necessary. Review and post Company credit card and expense report reimbursements submitted through the employee reimbursement system. Prepare various schedules and account reconciliations. Prepare and record journal entries for month‑end and year‑end closing. Record investment fund activity monthly and prepare annual roll‑forward schedule. Respond to inquiries and resolve issues from assigned Property Managers. Monitor and review open items monthly for assigned properties. Provide requested documentation and support for external audits. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Prepare analyses and special projects as directed by the Accounting Supervisor or other management personnel. Perform duties of other Accountants as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Training Minimum: Bachelor degree in Accounting Experience Minimum: 5 years of accounting work experience with knowledge of accounting principles and systems Skills/Knowledge Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word and Outlook Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Knowledge of general ledger accounting systems Factors for Success in the Position Ability to manage multiple priorities, track deadlines, and work independently as well as collaboratively.

JOB CONDITIONS

Normal working conditions, indoors, air-conditioned. Usual hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may be flexed and duties may require extended hours.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position occasionally requires lifting items up to 30 pounds, frequent sitting, standing, walking and bending. General office environment. Occasional stress during deadline periods.
