HVAC Technician

Job Description We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to support daily field operations across Austin and surrounding areas. This individual will play a critical role in handling residential service calls, troubleshooting HVAC systems, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience in occupied homes and construction sites. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, allowing both the technician and the company to ensure a strong long-term fit. Key Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems across residential and some commercial properties Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment issues, including advanced digital and high-efficiency systems Complete service calls for both homeowners and builder clients, including warranty and repair work Support new construction projects by completing work orders across various stages of the build process Interpret blueprints and utilize HVAC-related software for job execution Document all work performed, including service details, photos, and updates using company systems (e.g., BuilderTrend) Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and local HVAC codes Communicate effectively with customers, builders, and internal team members to provide updates and ensure satisfaction Participate in an on-call rotation for occasional evening and weekend emergency service needs Perform additional duties as assigned by management Pay: $30-$32/hr We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements EPA Certification Minimum 3+ years of HVAC technician experience 3 years of experience working with Mitsubishi HVAC systems Working knowledge of GE HVAC equipment Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in field environments Ability to read blueprints and work within construction timelines Strong customer service skills and ability to work inside occupied homes professionally Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift equipment as needed Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record #J-18808-Ljbffr Insight Global
