MIG Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate heavy-duty MIG welding equipment to accurately and quickly fuse steel components for trailers. Daily responsibilities include material preparation, blueprint reading, quality and safety checks, and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-output welding using MIG equipment to fuse steel components.
• Measure, cut, and fit base metal pieces prior to welding.
• Interpret engineering designs, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Inspect finished pieces for structural integrity and avoid material warping.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform safety checks.
• Pre-inspect gear and tools before shifts to ensure effective operation.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding, fabrication, and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience welding galvanized steel, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, symbols, and part numbers.
• Capability to measure in fractions and decimals using a tape measure.
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Certifications in welding are highly advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and complete work to print requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carbondale, PA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
