CapEx Project Engineer

Our industrial gas services client is seeking a seasoned Capex Project Engineer to join their lean engineering team located approximately 30 minutes NW of the Fort Worth, TX area. In this role, you will hands‑on manage a variety of full lifecycle CapEx projects up to approximately $8 or $9 million in scope. Additionally, you will assist in driving continuous plant improvement as needed. The ideal candidate possesses a chemical engineering degree and approx. 5‑7 or more years of experience, bringing a well‑rounded process background capable of hitting the ground running. The client offers a solid benefits package and this position is bonus eligible. location: Avondale, Texas job type: Permanent salary: $125,000 - 135,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors Responsibilities Direct the full lifecycle of capital expenditure (CapEx) projects from initial design duplication through procurement, contractor management, final commissioning and support. Provide expert engineering and process optimization support for plant operations, including seven active distillation units. Collaborate closely with local operations, safety, maintenance, and multidisciplinary teams, while managing vendor interactions and up to 15% annual travel. Coordinate the procurement of extensive equipment and bills of materials to keep project timelines off the critical path. Support plant-wide continuous improvement initiatives and manage parallel project scopes to efficiently bolster lean facility resources.
