Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical with Telemetry registered nurse position is available in Towson, Maryland. This role involves providing specialized patient care within a Medical Surgical and telemetry unit. Candidates must bring their active Maryland Registered Nurse license on the first day of assignment. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience and is suitable for first-time travel nurses. The schedule is nights shift, with 36 hours per week, starting July 20, 2026, for a 13-week contract.

Job Details:

• Location: Towson, Maryland
• Shift: Nights, 36 hours per week, minimum hours
• Required Qualifications: Maryland RN license, BLS certification, ACLS certification, NIH Stroke Scale certification, CPI certification, 2 years of experience in a similar setting, and the ability to work nights.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing ports, blood products, central lines, chest tubes, hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac drips, and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Additional Information: This role involves caring for adult and geriatric patient populations with diagnoses including general medical surgical conditions, CHF, CP, cellulitis, osteomyelitis, pancreatitis, amputations, bowel obstructions, atrial fibrillation/dysrhythmias, cancer, and palliative care. Skills such as telemetry monitoring, patient management, and emergency response are required. Floating within the specialty and lower acuity units may be necessary as patient census dictates.
• Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Submittal Requirements: Candidates must have completed COVID-19 and flu vaccinations as scheduled.
• Additional Details: Experience in Epic electronic medical record system is preferred.
• Certifications: Active Maryland RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, CPI.
• Compliance: Labs within 72 hours of signing the contract, with all compliance documents submitted five days prior to start date.
• Travel and Scheduling Notes: No special scheduling restrictions; willing to float within scope; maximum of 7 days of return to original location; proper acceptance of auto-offer applies.
