High Voltage Technician

We are hiring for a High Voltage Technician. This role is ideal for an experienced electrical professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, working hands-on with marine electrical equipment, and ensuring critical power systems operate safely and reliably.

As a High Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of high-voltage electrical systems aboard vessels and within maritime facilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-voltage electrical systems and equipment.
• Perform testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance on switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, generators, and power distribution systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults using testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, and high-potential (Hi-Pot) testing as required.
• Support vessel modernization, repair, and new construction projects.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and test documentation.
• Experience working with high-voltage electrical systems, power distribution equipment, or industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and control systems.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical documentation.
