Job Type Full-Time Job Number 01038 Division Staff Closing Date Continuous Opening Date 09/04/2026 Academic Year Athletics (3611) Location 1 College Circle, Bangor, ME Department Athletics (3611) Description The Head Women's Lacrosse coach will serve as the primary coach andadministrator for the women's lacrosse program. The Head Women'sLacrosse Coach will be responsible for the areas of instructingstudents in areas of the sports fundamentals, sportsmanship, andleadership, film, scouting, recruiting, academic and conductmonitoring, and strength and conditioning. Example of Duties Coaching responsibilities to include; instructing students onsport fundamentals, setting goals, setting clear expectations, andproviding feedback to students Demonstrate teaching and coaching competencies with regards toskill instruction and tactical strategies Motivation and ability to conduct daily instruction andpractice sessions Design and execute a competitive schedule Monitor and provide input and instruction regarding thestrength and conditioning program for the team Program budget management Organize team travel arrangements including meals, hotels, andtransportation The willingness to work with the women's lacrosse program onannual planning and promotions Participate in department wide and sport specific fundraisingefforts Develop and implement a comprehensive recruiting plan toinclude recruiting qualified collegiate student-athletes Provide leadership in the personal, academic, and athleticdevelopment of student-athletes Monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes to ensurethey are meeting academic course requirements and providingguidance and instruction to students to ensure success Monitoring the conduct of the student-athletes and teachingathletes to work together; develop written team expectations Supervise and utilize assistant coaches Implement the basic principles and policies of the athleticgoverning bodies (NCAA / NAC / ECAC) and Husson University Qualifications Education: B.A. or B.S. degree required, Master's degree preferred Experience: Three years successful coaching experience at the high schoolor collegiate level, head coaching experience preferred Ability to work successfully in a highly competitive DivisionIII environment Coaching licenses, certifications, and badges preferred Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Working knowledge of coaching both field players andgoalkeepers The ability to work with Front Rush recruiting software, andthe ability to create film sessions with both individual members ofthe team and the full team Must also possess the skills to function well in a variety ofroles that interact positively with the administration, faculty,coaching staff, student-athletes and other on-campus and off-campuscommunities.
