Step into a pivotal behavioral support role at a welcoming educational setting near Newark, NJ! This contract opportunity is ideal for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) ready to make an immediate impact in K-12 environments. You’ll collaborate closely with educators, channeling your expertise to empower both students and staff throughout the district.
This assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through December 23rd, providing direct 1:1 support for students and guidance to teachers and aides. With a focus on ensuring all learners thrive, you'll be a resource for implementing tailored strategies and conducting targeted training sessions.
What we’re seeking:
- Active BCBA certification with experience in school-based or pediatric settings
- Confidence in providing individualized behavioral interventions
- Strong communication and consulting skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to create and oversee behavior intervention plans and model best practices
- Previous experience training staff or facilitating group workshops preferred
- Adaptability to changing caseloads and school needs
- Commitment to supporting both short-term and possible maternity leave openings
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 behavioral analysis and intervention for students with diverse needs
- Consult with teachers to recommend and implement evidence-based classroom strategies
- Develop, review, and revise behavioral plans as needed
- Lead training sessions for teachers and aides to boost confidence and technique
- Monitor progress and adjust approaches to maximize student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication with school team members
