Overview This position is primarily responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing semi-trailers. We offer Technician support across the TEC network and training support from our Corporate Service team. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to troubleshoot issues and repair vehicle to proper operating condition, including performing FHWA/BIT inspections Troubleshoot and perform complex wiring repairs and diagnose and repair any electronic issues Perform routine and preventative maintenance services. Identify worn and damaged parts all parts to include major components, repairing, adjusting, or replacing as needed Maintain safe and organized work area Ability to be on task to meet shop quality and efficiency standards and take ownership of assigned jobs to ensure quality repairs Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs Must use all safety equipment necessary for the job Maintain current knowledge of job and technical skills by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical and regulation publications Ability to remove and replace main structural components of a reefer or dry van semi-trailer, including but not limited to panel replacement, top rail, bottom rail, corner radius, nose rail, roof, rear doors. Qualifications Minimum 2-5 years working on trailers Must have own hand tools High expertise in troubleshooting using diagnostic software Proficient computer skills to input vehicle maintenance records and utilize diagnostic software Ability to meet physical demands of the job (job requires frequent lifting/moving up to 50lbs, climbing, stooping, kneeling, seeing, grasping, hearing, etc.) Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision Ability to maintain predictable and reliable attendance and work in a safe and alert manner Valid driver's license and able to meet insurance requirements. CDL license preferred but not required Compensation The base pay range for this position is $20.29 to $24.86.
