Infusion Nurse - RN

Registered NurseContinuumRx, the nation's leading specialty and home infusion therapy expert, is seeking registered nurses to add to our Columbus, OH team to provide care for our patients in the patient's home and/or in the infusion suite. Registered nurses working in our ambulatory infusion suites work directly with patients and perform intake, vitals, infusion and injections, documenting in the electronic health record.Roles and ResponsibilitiesRegistered nurses working in our ambulatory infusion suites/centers work directly with patients and perform intake, vitals, infusion, and injections, documenting in the electronic health record.Assess and document the health status of the patient Provide intake including vital signs, medication reconciliation and health historyPrepare patients for infusion or injection.Deliver infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols and organization guidelinesEnsure patient care is documented in the electronic health recordKeep environment clean and disinfected after each patient useDemonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of patient careAssist in maintaining medical inventory and suppliesReinforce patient and family education regarding disease processes and treatment side effectsWork collaboratively with clinical and front desk staff to ensure highest level of patient care Assist with audits and regulatory functionOpenly communicate with referring/prescribing providers, such as order clarification, patient status, and plan of care Work at multiple facilities within the market as neededQualifications and ExperienceExcellent IV skillsExperience and strong familiarity utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systemsProficiency with standard office software applications - Outlook, Microsoft Office, electronic health records, internet and mobile applicationsDemonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of patient care Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other medical staffStrong leadership skills, self-confidence, and ability to remain calm in stressful situationsExcellent analytical and critical thinking skillsExceptional active listening skillsExperience in an infusion setting preferredCurrent, active and in good standing registered nurse license in the state of employmentA friendly personality with good people skills including team collaborationCurrent BLS CPR certification
