Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and ensure patient safety in daily operations.

• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and adherence strategies.

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, legality, and appropriateness.

• Adhere to regulatory, safety, and quality standards; prepare for audits and inspections.

• Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and apply evidence-based practices.

• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and care plans.

• Monitor inventory, manage stock levels, and manage controlled substances securely.

• Document all actions precisely in electronic health records and pharmacy systems.

• Utilize performance metrics and pipelines to forecast demand and set targets.

• Engage in continuous process improvement to increase efficiency and error reduction.

• Provide mentorship and professional development guidance to junior staff.

Experience/Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with current registration and board certification where applicable.

• Compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards; audit readiness.

• Accurate dispensing with patient safety-focused verification processes.

• Prescriptions reviewed for legality, accuracy, and appropriateness before dispensing.

• Clinical counseling on medication usage, side effects, and adherence strategies.

• Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge; apply evidence-based practices.

• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and care plans.
