HIRING Pharmacist (Recent EPIC Experience within the last 12month Required)

Job Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist to join its Clinical Care team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative acute-care environment providing exceptional patient care across emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, wound care, and surgical services.

The ideal candidate will have strong inpatient pharmacy experience, current Epic proficiency, and experience caring for pediatric and neonatal populations.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: August 3, 2026

• End Date: September 27, 2026

• Shift: Variable, 10-hour shifts

• Weekend Requirement: Up to every other weekend

• Call Requirement: Closing pharmacist remains on call until the pharmacy reopens

• IV Training: Required and must be passed

• IV Compounding Experience: Preferred

Department Staffing

Pharmacists

• 3 pharmacists on 10-hour shifts

• Hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM – 9:00 PM

  • Saturday–Sunday: 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Technicians

• 3 technicians on 10-hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Verify, process, and dispense medication orders accurately and efficiently.

• Monitor patient medication therapies and optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Identify and resolve medication safety concerns and potential drug interactions.

• Participate in clinical rounds and medication management activities.

• Conduct medication utilization reviews and quality assurance initiatives.

• Support formulary management and cost-saving initiatives.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve pharmacy services.

• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements Education

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy – Required

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) – Preferred

Experience

• Minimum one year of pharmacy experience – Preferred

• Current Epic experience – Required

• Inpatient clinical pharmacy experience – Preferred

• Experience with pediatric and neonatal patients strongly preferred.

Licensure

• Active California Pharmacist License – Required

• All certifications and licensures necessary to practice in California – Required
