Program Analyst (Workplace Violence Prevention Program Specialist) Department: Department of Veterans Affairs The position serves as a Program Analyst in Social Work Service at the Veterans Affairs Northern California Health Care System (VAN CH CS). VANCHCS is a Level 1 a facility and ranks among a complex system in the VA serving the VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21 ). Key Responsibilities The incumbent of this position serves as a Program Analyst for the specific programs and committees related to the Workplace Violence Prevention Program (WVPP) in the Veterans Affairs Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS). They will report to the Workplace Violence Prevention Program Manager. Major duties include, but are not limited to the following: Serves as the program analyst for the Prevention and Management of Disruptive Behavior (PMDB) training program for the Veterans Affairs Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS), coordinating day-to-day operations and supporting alignment with VHA National policy and VHA Directive 1160.08. Provides quarterly progress updates and status reports to the Workplace Violence Prevention Program (WVPP) Manager, who retains overall program management responsibility. Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates PMDB training at the facility level with fidelity to the national model, ensuring that employees have adequate access to initial training, reassessment, and retraining, as required by national and local policy. Assigns, tracks, and reports PMDB training in accordance with facility and national directives. Reviews VHA policy, The Joint Commission (T JC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and local requirements related to workplace violence prevention and PMDB training and assesses facility practices for consistency with these requirements. Develops and presents findings and recommendations to the WVPP Manager and other officials responsible for policy decisions. Coordinates and monitors resources (fiscal, space, and human resources) necessary to support delivery of PMDB and related workplace violence prevention trainings, including general violence prevention and sexual assault awareness education. Collaborates with Education Service to schedule and support courses in accordance with established priorities and guidance. Provides administrative support to the Disruptive Behavior Committee (DBC) and Employee Threat Assessment Team (ETAT) for the Veterans Affairs Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS). Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday. 8:00am-4:30pm Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
